BANGOR – Husson field hockey has turned its attention to next season, which will begin a new era.
The university named Husson alum Sabrina Vaillancourt its new head coach earlier this month, following the resignation of Madeline Hoeppner who took a job with USA Field Hockey.
Vaillancourt coached Nokomis for the past two years, bringing the Warriors to the postseason in both campaigns. She also served as the JV coach at Old Town before that, and has led a club team in Orono.
This week, Husson also announced its schedule. The Eagles will play a 14-game regular season which will include six home games. Three road contests begin the 2017 season, starting with the opener on September 2 against Wellesley. The home opener will be played on September 11 against UNE.
