AUBURN – The Maine Women’s Amateur is often a display of some of the best talent in Maine, but the past two years have been dominated by one name: Staci Creech.
In 2017, dominance reigned supreme once more.
Creech carried a two-day lead into the final round of the tournament, and finished what she started Wednesday. Creech won her third-straight Maine Women’s Amateur, notching a score of 4-over-par for the entire tournament. This gave her a five-stroke win over Bailey Plourde, an impressive follow-up to a fourth place finish in the New England Women’s Amateur.
