BANGOR – Young girls basketball players flooded Newman Gymnasium Wednesday for Husson women’s basketball’s annual summer camp. This camp was run by Eagles women’s basketball assistant Matt MacKenzie and players Kenzie Worcester, Sami Ireland, and Sarah Bragg. Campers learned how to improve their shooting, ball-handling, and dribbling.
“I’m having a lot of fun learning new skills and just being around basketball again for the summer,” campers Hannah Ferreira and Caroline Clark said.
Players and coaches had a lot to take away from the camp as well.
“Our girls here that play on our team they’re able to give back to the kids and show them what they know and just seeing the improvement over the course of five days is amazing,” MacKenzie said.
The Eagles kick off their season Nov. 18 at St. Lawrence.
