HARRISONBURG, Va. – It was an auspicious first half for the University of Maine against No. James Madison. A 60-yard run late in the third quarter by Josh Mack gave the Black Bears a 10-7 lead over the most explosive offense in the CAA.
But, as the second half wore on Maine faded and James Madison showed why it’s the best team in the country.
The Dukes forced freshman Chris Ferguson to throw two interceptions in the second half and took care of business on offense scoring 21 unanswered points.
Maine will look to regroup in their next game at Villanova on Oct. 7.
