BANGOR – Bangor Christian boys soccer has been a powerhouse in Class D North for years, but this season the Patriots have not enjoyed as much time atop the leaderboard.
At 6-2 the Patriots are jammed in the middle of a tight Class D North this year.
The defending champs have two huge games this week against Central and a PVHS team that is ahead of Bangor Christian in Class D.
A team that has won six state titles in eight years, the Patriots realize there is a target on their backs and if they want to repeat they must fix lingering issues.
“We just have to focus on the things that we’ve been struggling on throughout the year like quick passes and seeing the field,” senior Luke Chandler said.
“Teams are coming in hungry and they want to say that they can beat the defending state champions,” senior Dean Grass said.
