ORONO – Maine men’s hockey has been consistently inconsistently this season.
The Black Bears have split their last three weekend series’ including five of six this season.
Maine has shown the ability to score and freshman goaltender Jeremy Swayman has played well in the first half of the season.
But, the Black Bears have broken down against top opponents and in key moments this season.
Maine welcomes Vermont to Alfond Arena for its last home series until mid-January, a pair of crucial Hockey East games.
“We haven’t been able to put together a sweep yet, you know we got to show up for two full games and put it together here. Especially these being hockey east games, you’re right at home these are huge hockey east points and they’ll matter at the end of the season,” forward Mitchell Fossier said.
