ORONO – When you look at the Maine women’s basketball stat sheet, the name Millan pops up everywhere. But she hasn’t been the only player producing at a high level for the Black Bears.
Sophomore forward Fanny Wadling has played a crucial role lately for the Black Bears serving as a nice complementary scoring option on offense.
The Swede scored a season high 18 points against Dartmouth last month and also chipped in with a season high 13 rebounds against Duke.
Head coach Amy Vachon believes Wadling’s sudden increased level of play began during Maine’s toughest stretch in non-conference play.
“Fanny has really come into her own you know the last month of the season, starting with that game against Dartmouth. She’s played really the two best games of her career against Mississippi State and Duke,” head coach Amy Vachon said.
