ORONO – Maine women’s basketball is starting to hit its stride in conference play.
Since a tough loss to Binghamton, Maine is 3-1 and is getting contributions across the board.
Blanca Millan, Tanesha Sutton, Fanny Wadling, Julie Brosseau the list of players who have contributed night in and night out goes on for the Black Bears.
Millan, Sutton and Brosseau are Maine’s top three scorers and have looked comfortable in their new roles as Maine’s go-to players.
That consistency is something that was missing last season for the Black Bears.
“Last year we ad a lot of talent but we were very inconsistent you never knew who was going to show up in what game. I think this year our kids have really taken that to heart and really made that change,” head coach Amy Vachon said.
