Bangor cheer won its first cheer state title in program history and in the process, beat Lewiston.
The Blue Devils had won six of the last seven state titles.
“Everyone was super nervous we had girls saying that they feel like they were going to throw up. We had some they were like they were going to pee their pants. Everyone was super nervous, we had some crying. And we were all just trying to talk to each other, calm each other down. We knew that first place wasn’t going to be given to us. But that we earned it,” Bangor cheer senior Hope Ouellette said.
