HAMPDEN – It’s tourney time and Hampden basketball is back at the top.
While the boys have been great, the girls have been arguably just as good.
The Broncos have used used tenacious defense and a balanced offensive attack to march their way to the top of Class A North.
It’s been quite the rise for the Broncos who have seen quite the genesis in Nick Winchester’s first year as head coach.
Now for the first time in a while, the Broncos see the rest of the division chasing them. So are they prepared?
“I think with the target on our back, it just shows that we have to show up every night and play our hardest. Because even though we’re the No. 1 seed, anything can happen from here on out,” guard Marissa Gilpin said.
“It is a great confidence booster, but we’re not done yet. We have a lot of work to do, and we’re really excited, forward Sophia Narofsky said.
