ORONO – The hits keep on coming for Maine men’s basketball as multiple reports indicate that guard Danny Evans has received permission to seek a transfer.
The news was initially reported by Verbal Commits.
A source has confirmed that Evans has not ruled out a return to UMaine. Evans started eight games for the Black Bears this season and eventually transitioned into a key player off the bench. The sophomore averaged just over three points per game and shot 39 percent from the field.
Evans is the second player to receive permission to transfer. Leading scorer announced his intentions to transfer Monday night after Richard Barron was hired as the new head coach.
