BANGOR – It’s been a bumpy start to Bangor boys lacrosse’s first varsity season as the Rams lost their season opener to Lewiston 15-2.
The Rams are looking past the numbers in the box score and are instead focusing on improving ahead of their next game against Oxford Hills.
Bangor worked on everything in practice today including its breakouts and man-advantage. The Rams are steadily improving their fundamentals, but it’s their mental game that has been the focus.
The team believes it has what it takes to compete with squads in Class A, it’s just a matter of it staying level headed and humble during practice and in games.
“Not to underestimate everyone. Especially teams we think we can beat. We need to not be so cocky about things. We need to always respect the other teams and always be wary of what’s going to happen,” defenseman Charles Fearon said.
