OLD TOWN – PVC big and small schools got together Saturday in the final meet before the PVC championships.
Cayden Spencer-Thompson was in action as well, he took home first place in the high and triple jump.
Old town won the girls and boys meet. Coyotes senior Jacob St. Louis won the discus with a throw of just over 135 feet.
His final throw was actually seven feet further and would have been a personal record, but he was called for a penalty. St. Louis has already locked up a spot the PVC finals and states, but was disappointed that he was just centimeters away from a new PR.
“I was pretty disappointed in myself, I mean that was the best throws I’ve had all year. I guess it happens. It builds my confidence a lot to just knowing that I can hit that mark now. I’ve been trying to hit it all year. Come to think of it my last regular season throw of the year,” St. Louis said.
