ORONO – For the next three weeks Maine men’s basketball will be on the road as the Richard Barron era will officially get started with stops in Utah, Colorado, Texas, Connecticut amongst others.
The Black Bears start their season against Denver on Tuesday, Maine will also play a few power five schools in North Carolina St. and Utah during its six game road trip.
Barron said his team is taking the road trip one state and game at a time, but is also excited for the chance to play some quality competition.
“These are opportunities for us to get better, you know we’re going to play some really good teams we’re going to challenge ourselves against,” Barron said.
“It’s fun to go out and represent the university, it’s going to be fun playing in nice arenas, fun seeing some different cities, some different parts of the country,” he added.
