HAMPDEN – It only took two touchdowns for the Warriors to get past Hermon Saturday afternoon.
David Wilson punched one in from the goal line, and Andrew Haining dropped a ball into Chance Graves’ hands from 25 yards out.
Hermon did not go quietly, with a 75 yard run from shotgun by Garrett Trask.
Andrew Haining recounted the team’s rise after the game: “I don’t know if I could have ever said I expected to play in a state championship after two oh and eight seasons..and the feeling that I’m playing in one is amazing..”
Nokomis moves on to face Fryeburg in the Class C state championship, both teams first appearances in the state title game.
