ORONO – There is no time to rest for Maine football, the Black Bears have announced the first additions to their upcoming recruiting class.
The Black Bears have locked up four recruits this early signing period.
Yarmouth native Jack True will be heading up to Orono next year. Joining him are cornerback Satchel McKinney, wide receiver Clark Barnes and running back Curtis Murray.
Maine had to do it’s recruiting while it was still making its playoff run. Head coach Joe Harasymiak said the process had its negatives, but the ability to play on national television will pay dividends down the road.
“I mean anytime you can keep playing and be in you know a quarterfinal, a national semifinal, national TV two weeks in a row for our program getting that exposure in recruiting is huge. You know the guys that will fit here will fit here and I think we have plenty of time to make that happen in January and February.
