BANGOR – An award winning freshman year for Husson center Bailey Donovan has been capped off with nationwide recognition.
Donovan was recognized as the NCAA Division III women’s basketball statistical field goal percentage champion. Through 28 games, the freshman scored 64.5% of field goals through 28 games last season; hitting 162 of 251 field goal attempts.
That number is 0.8% higher than the next highest player across all of Division III women’s basketball. Donovan’s field goal percentage also serves as a single season record for Husson women’s basketball.
Donovan was previously named NAC Rookie of the Year, as well as receiving multiple state and regional awards for her play in her first season as an Eagle.
