ORONO – Throwing on a blue and white University of Maine football jersey has been a lifelong dream for Bucksport’s David Gross. After a dominant senior season, Gross forced that dream into reality.
Gross has committed to Maine after having as dominant a senior year as you could have as he led Bucksport to a Class D North title and won the Frank J. Gaziano Award for best offensive lineman in the state.
The senior spent the majority of his high school career battling a variety of injuries and said nothing was going to stop him from achieving the thing he’s wanted since he was a little kid.
“Been filling the steins since I was nine years old so I’ve been there for just about every UNH game that’s been home since then and that’s just been something that’s been a dream of mine you know forever not just came in as they started recruiting me it’s been forever,” Gross said.
