PHILADELPHIA – Bates College’s first ever two-time All-American men’s lacrosse player is currently fighting for his life after testing positive for coronavirus.
25 year old Jack Allard, who graduated from Bates in 2016 is reportedly in a medically-induced coma, breathing with the help of a respirator. According to his mother, Allard was otherwise healthy. In a statement from Bates athletic director Jason Fein, he says Allard was a “standout athlete” with “exceptional drive.” Allard was the leading scorer for three consecutive seasons for the Bobcats.
Allard is reportedly under care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
