GLENBURN – One of the best Maine boys basketball prospects has announced his college decision. Bryce Lausier will be crossing the border to play at Division II St. Anselm.
Lausier got a call from Hawks head coach, Keith Dickson, over the weekend and was offered a full scholarship.
The Hampden senior said he knew it was a good fit once their hour long phone call concluded. A perennial D-II power, St. Anselm won the Northeast 10 this season and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Hawks advanced to the Final Four in 2018-2019. Lausier says he’s ecstatic to get to campus and was sure to thank his coaches teammates and trainers, but most importantly his family.
“My mom being there everyday helping me to become better and my dad you know driving me on the court to become a better player and my sister coming to every game cheering me on. We all knew this offer the St. Anselm offer was a great opportunity for me and we talked about it and we thought it would be my best chance,” Lausier said.
