BANGOR – Husson University is on the hunt for a new women’s soccer coach after Amanda Cummings announced her resignation on Wednesday.
Cummings announced through a release that she is stepping down from her position as women’s soccer coach for the Eagles after five seasons. She cited a desire to spend more time with her family as the reason for her decision.
Cummings, alongside her father and assistant coach Randy Gifford, coached Husson to a 37-41-6 record during her tenure. Her Eagles teams made the postseason every year of her tenure, and made the NAC championship game in 2017, the first time in eight years at that point.
The former Husson soccer player herself was promoted to the job in 2015 after spending two years as an assistant coach.
