PRINCETON, NJ – The Ivy League was the first to cancel its postseason tournaments in March. Now, it is the first Division I conference to outright cancel sports during the fall semester.
Per the conference’s announcement, no Ivy League schools will play sports before January 1. This includes a portion of the winter season as non-conference play typically starts in November. The Ivy League added that is still discussing when, and if, it can make up the canceled season. The made up games could potentially take place in the spring, or during the 2021-2022 school year.
