WINSLOW – Maine American Legion baseball is discussing ways it can have a season.
A source with close ties to American Legion baseball in the state tells ABC 7/FOX 22 that the state’s legion committee met Wednesday and has a plan in place to start legion play in the middle of June.
The only set back would be if Stage 2 of Gov. Janet Mills’ plan to restart Maine’s economy is pushed back or doesn’t proceed as planned.
According to the source, a mass email was sent to coaches regarding the plan and a definitive answer will be made in a few weeks.
Maine American Legion baseball has not returned voicemail requests for comment.
