FOXBOROUGH – No fans will be allowed in Gillette Stadium, at least through the end of September, creating new challenges for those in charge of the Patriots game day experience.
Maine native Abbey Thistle is the director of event presentation for Kraft Sports and Entertainment. Thistle is in charge of all the in-game sound and ribbon boards throughout Gillette Stadium.
All the sights and sounds Patriots fans have come to expect on Sundays will still be present when they watch the game from home, including the iconic foghorn played on third downs.
Thistle and her team now have the challenge of relaying the game day look to fans watching from home..
“We’re still gonna try and keep that feel and not just for the players too but in hopes that the fans at home can catch a glimpse of it and see that it’s still happening and it’s not this quiet static stadium.”
