BANGOR – The North Atlantic Conference released an update Tuesday saying it’s focused on sports returning this fall.
The NAC says it is creating a “Return to Play” committee of presidents, athletic directors, senior woman administrators and head athletic trainers to work with the conference office to ensure the safe return to sports.
“Presidents and Athletic Administrators are eager for students to return to campus, and recognize that intercollegiate athletics is integral to the college experience for student athletes and non-student athletes alike.” said Presidents’ Council Chair, Dr. Elaine Collins. “We are cautiously optimistic that sports will return to our campuses, albeit with some new policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.”
The committee hopes to make decisions on sports returning once a decision on school’s re-opening is made.
