OXFORD – Maine’s biggest race is still a go, for now.
Oxford Plains Speedway Vice President, Mike Mayberry, said the 47th annual Oxford 250 is set for Sunday Aug. 30.
Mayberry added the track’s main focus is to get local racing back as soon as possible, but either way he feels confident the race will happen.
“Right now as far as everything we can see we really don’t see that being an issue. We may have to obviously add some extra social distancing or plan around some extra sanitization but we’re really planning on that event going off as planned and that’s what we’re looking forward to right now,” Mayberry said.
