PORTLAND – Without a Minor League Baseball season this summer, the Sea Dogs are trying to create new memories for its fans. The ABC 7/Fox 22 sports team gave the course a try.
In June, Major League Baseball announced it would not supplying its Minor League affiliate clubs with players, meaning there would be no MiLB season in 2020.
To compensate for the loss of the season, the Portland Sea Dogs moved up plans to turn Hadlock Field in to a nine-hole target golf course from the fall to July. Fans quickly jumped at the opportunity to play golf in a unique venue, and sold out all available tee times for the July period.
Our ABC 7/Fox 22 sports team, Andrew Badillo and John Wagoner, took the trip down to Portland to experiences Hadlinks for themselves.
If you are looking to experience Hadlinks Golf Club for yourself, the Portland Sea Dogs are offering additional tee times in August to meet demand.
