SOUTH PORTLAND – Despite losing several major fundraising events and experiencing a slow down in donations during COVID-19, Special Olympics Maine has continued to move forward.
The organization says it will continue to offer their athletes daily activities, workouts, classes, sessions, and inspiration through mail and social media.
Through Instagram and Facebook, the organization is offering daily workouts, cooking classes, stress management trips, yoga, stretching, and strong mind activities.
Special Olympics Maine is dedicating Monday’s to fundraising and is holding a raffle, selling tickets for $20 each and the winner will receive three prizes. A snowmobile, 4-wheeler and a Sea-Doo. The drawing will be on Oct. 30. Special Olympics Maine will also be holding an online auction and are encouraging people to shop through Amazon Smile.
