ORONO – Another day, another award or mention for Maine men’s hockey goaltender, Jeremy Swayman. The junior goaltender has been named a semifinalist for the Mike Richter award, given to the nation’s top goaltender.
Swayman has also been named a finalist for the Hobey Baker award, given to the nations top player.
The award winner will be named on April 10th. The Hockey East player of the year led the nation with 1,099 saves and signed a pro contract with the Boston Bruins last week forgoing his senior season.
