BANGOR – The battle against breast cancer can be a lonely fight.
And even when the battle is won, survivors must cope with how the disease has changed their bodies. That’s why the “Pink Runway Project” is so important.
It will not only help raise money to help patients with some of their expenses, but will also spread the word about the many reconstructive services that will help them feel better about themselves.
It’s a formal gala at the Cross Insurance Center that will also celebrate the perseverance of breast cancer survivors who prove life can be great long after the diagnosis.
Survivor Joni Lowell said “It’s a vision of hope, of inspiration. Of moving on with your life. It’s an attitude of feeling good about yourself and promoting yourself the best you can.”
This years Pink Runway Project will be held Saturday, October 14th at 6:00 p.m.
There will be live and silent auctions and breast cancer survivors will be walking the catwalk while modeling some wonderful clothing.
