BANGOR – Eastern Maine Medical Center has grown greatly in recent years as it tries to keep up with the demand for services.
And soon, you’ll be able to see those improvements first hand thanks to an event organized by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.
Tapas and Tours will take place on Tuesday. A chance to see everything from the new neonatal facility to high tech robots that will be used in surgery.
EMMC President Donna Russell-Cook said “And we’re really excited about that. And with the modernization project, specifically to procedural areas, it’s really important because technology continues to develop. The OR’s of the 1970s are not the same OR’s needed for the future. And we’re able to do state of the art procedures now.”
The staff of the newly refurbished hospital kitchen will also provide delicious food during the tours.
Tapas and Tours will take place next Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
