PORTLAND – New developments in an Old Port murder. A second person is now in custody for the death of Trey Arsenault and the shooting of Mohamed Ali.
“We don’t like that he do the bad thing we don’t like it” Juer Diing; Gang Deng Majok’s Mother. Juer Diing says when she watched last night’s news, she found out her son was charged with murder.
Gang Deng Majok is the second person arrested in connection to the Old Port shooting. He and 20 year old Johnny Ouch are charged with murder and elevated aggravated assault. In the death of Trey Arsenault and the shooting of Mohamed Ali.

Prior to these charges Ouch had one adult criminal conviction for driving without a license. According to court documents – 30 -year -old Majok has a lengthy criminal history. In January of 2014 Majok was charged with assault and refusing to submit arrest. The same night as a shooting outside of Sangillo’s Tavern in Portland.
Police have not said if Majok is a suspect in that shooting. In 2013 Majok was convicted of criminal trespass while charges of domestic violence and refusing to submit to arrest were dropped. He also has multiple convictions for violating bail conditions.
Majok’s mother says she brought him to Portland from South Sudan in 2002 – to start a better life. “We’re hoping that he go to school and everything do a good job, we don’t come here to get involved in the bad things and crimes, we don’t like it”
Ouch and Majok are both being held at the Cumberland County Jail.
Majok is expected to appear in court tomorrow afternoon.
