STATEWIDE – Maine received more money than expected from liquor sales last year.
The Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and lottery sales reports a 46 million dollar profit. A new contract with Pine State Trading Company, is behind the 4.6 percent increase in profits over the previous year. The company has a ten year contract to market, distribute and warehouse the state’s liquor business.
Much of the money will be used to pay off the states bond debt.
