WASHINGTON D.C. – Senator Susan Collins is sure the sinking of El Faro will be thoroughly investigated.
She says right now all energy needs to be focused on the search for survivors. On Monday Collins spoke to Rear Admiral Scott Bushman. She says she is confident they are doing all they can to find any survivors.

The senator says she is good friends with the aunt and uncle of one of the missing Mainers and that all the families are having a difficult time. “When I talked with my friends they said it had been hard to sleep that it was so difficult as they sit and wait to hear the fate of their niece. this is a difficult situation.”
Collins says she was assured by Rear Admiral Bushman that the Maine families will be kept closely informed of the searches progress.
