AUGUSTA – Maine’s Attorney General is sending out a warning to Mainer’s who are customers of T-Mobile.
Janet Mills says more than 12,000 residents may have had their personal data exposed during a security breach. She says someone was able to gain access to a server that contained information on more than 15-million T-Mobile users.
She’s encouraging Maine customers of the company to contact the Experian company for free credit monitoring.
Mills also plans to work with attorneys general from around the country to help those impacted by the breach.
