JACKSONVILLE, FL – As the Coast Guard ends the search for survivors, families are dealing with the news that their loved ones won’t be coming home.
Jon Chrisos is in Jacksonville, Florida with the Maine families as they waited for updates – he talked with them right after the decision to suspend the search.
As hours turned into days moms Deb Roberts and Laurie Bobillot held on to each other and hoped that the coast guard would find their children lost at sea Mike Holland and Danielle Randolph today that hope faded.
At sunset, the Coast Guard, suspended the search for survivors of the sunken ship the El Faro.
And these 2 moms have each other, brought together by tragedy at sea. As they now prepare to pack up and make the 13-hundred mile journey back home to Maine, they say they’ll be leaving behind pieces of their broken hearts.
