CORNVILLE – This morning a North Anson man is taken to the hospital after leading police on a high speed in Somerset County.
45-year-old Robert Tucker is at Eastern Maine Medical Center this morning. Authorities say Tucker took off when they were about to question him about a burglary in Troy.
He led Somerset County sheriff’s deputies on a chase through Madison, Skowhegan, and Cornville with speeds topping 100 miles an hour. Tucker eventually lost control in Cornville when his car ran into a wooded area.
Officials say he has an extensive criminal history – and several nationwide warrants.
Tuckers injuries are considered non life-threatening.
State police and surrounding agencies are currently reconstructing the scene.
