WATERVILLE – A public hearing regarding the future of the Waterville High School Principal will get underway this week.
Don Reiter has been on paid administrative leave since September. Since then the superintendent has recommended his dismissal. The Kennebec County District Attorney is investigating, but it is unknown what the allegations are.
“I believe the school board will make the decision that there is not only no dismissal here, but no discipline.” Gregg Frame, Don Reiter’s Attorney says he does not expect any criminal charges to be filed against his client.
Tomorrow, the school board will meet to hear from those who feel the need to speak privately. The hearing will continue in an open forum Wednesday. The hearings will be held in the George Mitchell school gym.
