BANGOR – Several leaders of successful start-up businesses came together Wednesday morning to bounce ideas off each other.
The Bangor Chamber Region of Commerce putting on the early-bird breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Four entrepreneurs participating in the “Scratch-Pad Accelerator Program”, speaking on the resources that available in the area. Scratch-Pad is a University of Maine initiative, helping start-ups get on their feet.
“As a chamber we want to promote the businesses in our region that are really trying to grow and not only to showcase them but to explain what are the resources available to entrepreneurs, so if you want to grow a business and what can you tap into the community and how can you get involved in supporting the businesses in our area.” added Renee Kelly the Chair of The Bangor Chamber Region of Commerce
Each entrepreneur speaking at the breakfast has had 12 weeks to create their own business. They will pitch them at “Demo Day” on December 11th at Season’s Restaurant in Bangor.
