HAMPDEN – A man involved in a shooting over the weekend in Hampden makes his first court appearance.
Police say 53-year-old Rodger Penmen got into an argument with another man at a trailer park on Maine Road North Saturday night. They say Penmen shot the victim in the leg, then took off to another trailer where he was later arrested.
He is charged with elevated aggravated assault and reckless conduct with a firearm.
The victim is expected to be okay.
Penmen’s court appearance was moved to Newport District Court because of power outage in Bangor.
