GLENBURN – Excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in an ATV crash in Glenburn that seriously injured a man and a 6-year-old girl.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department said 51-year-old Ricky Rossignol of Kenduskeag lost control of his four wheeler while pulling into the parking lot of the Village Variety Store on Route 15. He and a six year old girl were not wearing a helmet when they were thrown from ATV.
Rossignol injuries were life-threatening and he was rushed to Eastern Maine Medical Center while the little girl was treated at the scene.
Police say the district attorney will consider whether criminal charges will be filed in the case.
Investigators also hope to hear from anyone who witnesses the accident. .
