BANGOR – Buying local and establishing a connection with the community, that’s the goal of the Bangor Community Supported Agricultural Fair.
The 7th Annual CSA Fair will kick-off Sunday March 20th at the Sea Dog.
Local farmers and community members spoke about the event at the Solidarity Center today.
Fair-goers will be able to buy CSA shares of locally grown food from local farmers. While also enjoying a cash bar, live music and children’s activities.
Many feel it’s important for farmers to make that connection with the community.
The Maine Science Festival is also partnering with the fair bringing activities to help kids learn about agricultural practices.
The fair will take place from 2:30 to 5:30 following the farmer’s market.
