WINTERPORT- It’s been nearly two-and-a-half weeks since a Maine Maritime Academy student was last seen. Wednesday afternoon, searchers walked the muddied banks of the Penboscot River at
low tide hoping to find some sign of 22-year-old David Bruenig. Searchers walked the shore of the river from Winterport to Frankfort, according to search coordinator Robert Bowie of the Down East Emergency Medical Institute. Breunig was last seen near a railroad bridge over the Stillwater River in Orono on February 26th. According to Bowie, members of Breunig’s family have helped in the search.
