ROCKPORT – 35-year-old Jeremy Stone reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
In return for pleading guilty to manslaughter and aggravated operating under the influence, the prosecution has agreed to a sentence of ten years in prison with all but three years suspended.
Authorities say Stone was intoxicated in January of 2015 when he struck and killed 35-year-old Daniel Cormier as he walked with two friends in Camden.
Stone drove off, but was arrested a short time later.
It will be up to a judge to decide exactly how much time stone will spend in prison when a sentencing hearing is held April 28.
