BANGOR – The City of Bangor has agreed to spend up to $1 million dollars to make improvements to a local call center.
That center near the Bangor airport will soon house a call center run by the Wayfair Furniture Company which plans to hire hundreds of people.
City councilors agreed last night to make improvements to the city owned building before the new tenant moves in. The money will be used to replace the roof and to make other improvements.
Wayfair plans to move into the call center at the beginning of August.
