BANGOR – Students that are part of the Bangor Interact Club will be raising money this weekend for ShelterBox, an international non-profit organization that helps families who have been impacted by natural disasters.
Today on Good Morning Maine, members of the club along with John Quinn, Youth Development and Adventure Program Manager at the Bangor YMCA, joined Laura Smith to talk about the upcoming fundraiser.
ShelterBox provides families with a crate that contains a tent and supplies for a family of 4 to live in the event of a natural disaster and have been been deployed to 240 disasters and humanitarian crises in more than 90 different countries.
The Interact Club will be collecting donations outside the Cross Insurance Center at the times below:
Friday, April 1st: 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 2nd: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 3rd: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
