BANGOR- The 4th annual Erin’s Run is just around the corner and this year organizers have added a free kids run for children 10 and under.
The 5K is held in honor of Erin McGrath Woolley, who passed away at the age of 26 to cancer in 2010.The kids run is sponsored by the First National Bank and will be a 1k run/walk.
The run-walk supports Spruce Run, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving people affected by domestic abuse and a program in Erin’s honor for a member of the University of Maine swimming and diving team.
Woolley graduated from Bangor High School and dedicated her life to improving the lives of other women. She majored in Women’s studies at the University of Maine Orono.
This will be the 4th year friends and family have celebrated and remembered her life.
