BANGOR – Plenty of fun this weekend as the The Bangor Comic and Toy Con made it”s second yearly appearance. And it’s attracted some unique faces as well as some you’ve probably seen before.
Thousands of patrons, fans, and self-proclaimed nerds descended on The Cross Insurance Center to see well over one hundred exhibits, that ranged from homemade costumes, to toys, and much more.
Comic Con is a place for people to let go of their daily grind and live the lives of their favorite characters. A handful of celebrities were also on hand to sign autographs and meet fans.
Paul Schrier and Jason Narvy, better known as the likeable evil duo “Bulk and Skull” from the Power Rangers series, are obviously enjoyed their visit.
Verne Troyer, of Austin Powers and Jackass fame, is grateful for his Bangor fans. Saying he really appreciated everyone coming out for pictures and to see him.
Troyer even visited some of the other vendors, including leaving his name on a giant Bop’em Sock’em Robot game.
What shouldn’t be out-shined by the celebrities are the numerous local businesses showing off their talents and groups banding together in their fandom for a good cause.
