ELLSWORTH – To kick off the holiday season, The City of Ellsworth held its annual parade, which brought thousands downtown to enjoy the festivities.
It is the most wonderful time of the year and Ellsworth is showing that through floats, firetrucks and Santa. The city is bringing the Christmas Spirit throughout downtown.
“There’s a lot of cars decorated in festive decorations,” said Jordyn Bray, an attendee, “A lot of people in the crowd are wearing Santa hats and other festive things.”
“Everybody gets the chance to experience the holiday with everyone else,” said Anna Goodrich.
Friends, families and children were spreading the Christmas cheers by handing out candy and other treats.
“I enjoy seeing the children and seeing all the festivities and floats,” said Kae Perro, an attendee, “It just gets bigger every year and it’s just beautiful.”
With Christmas coming, kids are getting excited for what is to come.
“Just so all the people can see everybody have a good time,” said Gavin Morse, an attendee.
This parade not only brought joy to the community, but it also provided a way for local businesses to get their names out there.
“I think it’s so important because there’s so many small businesses that we don’t get to always see,” said Perro, “With this parade, you get that opportunity to see some of these.”
