BANGOR- The clues are limited, but the outpouring of support is overwhelming.
Dozens of people gathering in the 30 degree weather to search for their friend.
“He’s a great worker, artist, father. He’s just a familiar face that you take for granted that you see in the community all the time,” said Shannon Denbow, a friend of Francis.
Paul Francis III, better known as June Bug, was last seen at a party on Sanford Street late Thursday night into Friday morning.
He left his job at Geaghan’s Pub, went to the party, and was set to travel to another party with friends.
No one has seen or heard from him since.
“There’s a number of possibilities. My main concern is that being that it was that early in the morning after a night on the town, he might not have been in the best condition to get from point A to point B,” said Denbow.
Denbow, along with her husband Flash Kellish, are helping to spearhead a search for June Bug.
“We’ve searched and researched. We’ve traced our tracks of places that we’ve been before. Knocking on doors. Handing out more fliers. And it seems like a lot of the people that we’ve contacted have already heard it so it seems like we’re getting the word out there,” said Kellish.
Five or six teams, made up of dozens of people, have been out on the streets of Bangor, near the river, the mall, and now expanding into other towns, searching for any sign of June Bug.
We contacted the Bangor Police but have not heard back.
